The long awaited IQ test has finally arrived. We went down to KKH at 1030h to register, answered some question. At 1130h, we were greeted by a young lady and she said she will be the assessor. The assessment took abt 2 hours. Once we were inside, P was given some puzzle to play with, i m not worry abt the problem solving part as she is pretty ok with them. The part that we are not confident is her language and gross motor skill. During the assessment, she didnt even open her mouth to speak, only towards the end then she started to say something, and the assessor told us that we might need to send P for speech therapy if her speech is not clear. Sigh. We were asked to pay attention towards her anxienty as she is very quiet. Oh yeah, P can jump but not with her 2 feets.
After the assessment, we went to see Dr A, P's neonatologist since her discharge, a very nice lady. After showing her P's works in CC, she was very impress with the art work that P is doing, and told us that she will be an artist. After discussing with Dr A, she told us that her progress is good, and will see us again next Nov. Before leaving, P even give Dr A a hug, how sweet.
Note to mommy, we need to spend more time talking to P and get P more playdates.
