P1 orientation

P cried when we took her to oriention. She is the only 1 out of the 240 P1 kids who cry..... Sigh..... Partly is because she is tired.... Saw her classmates, she is nt the shortest....

I m impressed with the principal, she is very practical. She kept emphasising that we parents ought to believe in our kids as all of them have hidden talents. She told parents to encourage the children to read books rather than ipad, all great men and women read alot. She actually reminded me again about the rolls of a parents to nurture rather than pushing them to do what i wnt them to......

All books and uniforms are ready. The chances of getting into school after school care is zero. The after school care that i have in mind is full..... No choice but to sign up for another one, which is just opposite home, provide transport to after school care. They emphasize on spelling and maths (no complaining there).

I just hope P will enjoys her primary school life.

Making new frens

Told P tt none of classmates is going to the same school as her and asked how she felt abt it. To my surprise she told m its OK, i will just make new frens like making new frens in playground.

I m shocked by her reply, she is optimistic abt it rather than worried abt change of environment. She is looking forward to Primary. Her daycare has prepared her for primary very well.

Children's Day

P spend her children's day in Adelaide. She had lotsa fun in playground n beach. Once holiday ended, it was back to school. When i picked her up after school, she has a bagful of gifts. Our favourite gift is by Teacher S, it was a scrapbook of outing by the K2. It is a very meaningful gift. Thank you for the time and effort for making the scrapbook, it is priceless. From the photos, can see that all the kids have grown up so much in this 10 mth.......

P oso got a very personal gift from Teacher L. A book with her name n besties in it. She was over the moon when she read the title.

Thank you all for all the gifts. P really like them.

Playground

During the trip, we spend alot of time in the playground. Playground here are very children friendly, and everyone follows the rules. It is like a big melting pot where children of all races and religions play together and have fun. P blends in pretty well, making new frens and having fun. If only the adults are the same then there will not be wars.

All the kids are so lovely, they tok abt everything. P's vocab improved quite a bit and so is her courage. She will walk up to the kids in playground and intro herself and asked if she can play with them. Whereas i sit under the sun n see them play..... life is good

Memories

Did some cleaning today... Clearing up spaces for new things.... Found P's old clothes, there were so small. Looking at her now she has grown so much... Found her first panties, she wore them in N1. I remember having a hard time finding xs panties for her...

Memories floating back just looking at those old clothes......

Life is short

CP dropped by the office and told me CJ was admitted to ICU last evening. Thats explains why she was late today. She looked tired and her eyes were swollen from crying when she walked in. We kept quiet and didnt utter a word. She gave us some instructions of what need to be done for the upcoming week.

After she settled down, she told me CJ was admitted in ICU for shortness of breath. Then told me that doc said he has less than 6 mth to live which means he might nt even make it to try the new chemo med. I felt sad and sorry for her. No matter how mentally well prepared u are, it will still be hard to go thru whatever she is goin thru.

CJ was my inspiration. I have learnt alot from his experience. I learnt to loosen up and smile more. I m praying for you.
