Lunchbox

 P has been asking for lunchbox aka bento. Perhaps it is a me issue, i haven been cooking for like the past 2-3 months since the old folks been here. Of cos it is a break for me but too bad i fell sick.... Fell sorry that the poor gal has been asking for her lunchbox. She told me she wanted, hello kitty, teddy bear and octopus in her lunchbox. Told her to give me sometime, i promise to make one for her when i m free....

In another 1.5 wk times, the old folks will be going back. Yipee, i will get my freedom back. Currently my house is like a refugee camp, boxes and luggages everywhere. Another 3-4 wk, we will be welcoming someone new to our family. In 5 wk times, we will be going home, this will be P's second trip. In another 7 mth, we will be attending Y's wedding and P will the flower girl. This is a very happening year, 2 newcomers joining our family.

DIY Hello Kitty

P saw it on my thumb n begged me to draw on her nails. Too bad our house rules is children not allowed to color their nails on school day. Haha

Numeral

P has been practising writing on her new whiteboard. So far so good, I can see that she is trying her very best to write. Last night she wrote 1 to 10 on her own except 8 and 9 she needed coaching. ATM also went thru 1 to 20 with her but after 16 she cant focus anymore.

P, u r doing a great job. Keep it up

New whiteboard

Bought a new whiteboard and P wrote her name on it to claim ownership. If my BM teacher saw the writing she will comment 'cakar ayam'. Well i think it is a good start writing on her own without help or dotted line.

Bloody Mossies

Swollen eyelid

I saw a red bump on her right eyelid the night before, and i was cursing at the mossies. When P woke up the next morning, her eyelid was so swollen, i think she even has problem opening her eye. The eyelid was hot and itchy, lucky she didnt scratch it.

 

After school, brought her straight to our GP to get some medication for the swollen eyelid. The swell went down slightly, hopefully it will subside by end of the week......

 

Wonder where the mossies came from, comfirm nt from my house, since i dun have potted plants. Almost all corner of the house, there is a bottle citronella which act as a mossie repellent....... Doctor suggested we call NEA for a check.......

Kuti-Kuti

Was reading the pamplet that P brought home regarding the camp over breakfast, cant help but wonder what is kuti-kuti, cos i only know kutu. So i asked ATM, he was so yaya and had the exact reply like her daughther, 'Huh, you dont know kuti-kuti?' and started laughing at me.... From where i grew up, i never came across this kuti-kuti game but we are expert in playing congkak, gasing, layang-layang and guli.

This camp is a good opportunity to expose P to all this traditional games that kids in kampong played. As there is nt much opportunity for us to show her this games unless we goes to Msia or Indonesia.
